Welcome To My Wardrobe

Here’s a look into my must-haves and all time favorites.

One of my favorite things for an everyday summer look, are a distressed pair of denim shorts with a vintage tee. It’s comfortable, casual, but effortlessly cool. I LOVE color, and in my opinion, you can never go wrong with a hot pink dress.

Army prints and camouflage have started a very big trend. NO, I do not mean a green jacket with fake grass and wheat printed all over it. If you’re gonna wear camo, you gotta do it right. Please stay away from hunting stores and bright orange…please. Tasteful shades of grey and brown is what you’re gonna want to rep.

And whoever said everyone needs a ‘little black dress’, I thank that person on the daily. Whether its simple and casual or fancy and expensive, it doesn’t matter. This little number is a BIG favorite in my closet.

You can’t help but swoon over the pieces that have low backs. They’re so elegant and showcase different curves that are ready to break free. Make sure it’s not so low that you see some booty, keep it tasteful ladies.

Also, high-waisted maxi skirts are a must have (especially in summer). I love wearing mine tucked in with a little tank. It’s so simple, but helps elongate those legs everyone strives for.

A black and white striped shirt with white converse is as basic as it gets. So what if it’s a cliche? I love my pearly white converse’s paired with a tee and no one can take that away from me.

Flannels are fabulous in the winter, but also during those warmer months. Finding a plaid tee thats lightweight pairs perfectly with distressed jeans, plus you’ll look like a total LA native (not that I’m from LA or know how Californians really dress, but I imagine it could be something like this).

If you don’t own any lace in your closet, you’re doing it wrong. In the past few years this style has blown up and can be found in almost every article of clothing. My favorites are shirts and dresses. Who knew so much romance could exist in a shirt?!

Dark wash skinny jeans. Need I say more? They go with everything, make your legs look long and wonderful, and will be your go-to pieces. In the summer you can’t go wrong when pairing them with a cute tee and then swapping that out for a cozy sweater in the fall/winter.

Whoever you are, whatever you do, you need a big oversized tote. They hold everything you could possibly want to carry, and make you look good doing it. Mine happens to be reversible black to cobalt blue and everyone who knows me, knows I don’t go anywhere without one around my arm. I’m a girl with lots of pointless things (that are very important I swear) to carry with me at all times, so of course I need to have 17 different bags for the job. And if the time ever occurs where you need to carry a sheet cake, or maybe a toaster (cause that stuff happens), you’ll be looking to me for help.

So, as I said before. I LOVE COLOR. I don’t think people should be afraid to wear bold shades and prints. It makes clothing that much more fun. In my opinon, lavender is a color that is totally unappreciated and if you want to be ahead of the trend, start wearing it now!

Maxi dresses are everything. To me, they’re on the same level as oversized sweaters. You put it on, and voila, you’re done. Not to mention you’ll always look more hip and trendy than the next person.

I’m also a sucker for sequins…and high-waisted skirts. Oh and leather jackets. So this look kindaaa has it all for me. Sequins can be childish, but if done right, you could kick anyones ass. They’re edgy and not to be messed with. Same with high-waisted skirts. Their sexy and professional qualities will have others staring you down as you strut down that street. Haters gonna hate, but who cares?

Floral. I think my favorite pattern ever is flowers. It almost always is accompanied by lots of color, so big surprise as to why I love it. Flowers are whimsical and just make you happy, so anything that has that on a dress, shirt, skirt, pair of pants…I think you get the point.

Last, but certainly not least. Accessories! No outfit is complete with a little bling, am I right or am I right?! Make a statement with a chunky, bright necklace, or go the more subtle route a pick a simple and delicate gold or silver piece. Both will act as the icing on top of the cake to any outfit.

Clothes are fun, fashion is fun, living is fun. So choose clothes and styles that help you express yourself and the wonderful life you live, one article of clothing at a time (insert heart emoji here).
