The Year of the Crop Top

To be honest, I wasn’t too crazy about this trend when it first started popping up. And when I say they are everywhere….I mean EVERYWHERE. Now, it’s hard to walk into a store or shop without seeing this cropped piece. I really don’t see this style going away any time soon, and (now) I’m totally okay with that. While one does show some skin, it can be quite elegant when paired perfectly. The lace and crocheted mid-drifts take this basic top from plain and casual, to casually obsessing over the little bit of cloth, that packs a major punch.

Pairing these tops with jeans can convey a level of edge you didn’t know you possessed. Sporting a crop top on the beach with a pair of shorts has ease, comfort, and gives off a carefree vibe. Clearly I think this item is underestimated for its versatility. So maybe next time don’t worry about whether showing that extra two or three inches of skin is worth it, and go for it. You may be surprised what will happen when you let the clothes speak for themselves.
